Style

This week's theme is street trends.
Now street trends aren't like any red carpet or celebrity stomping grounds, they develop on their own. People like style bloggers and magazine executives like Amy Astley and Andrew Bevan of Teen Vogue. In every issue, they feature a young, aspiring blogger, like @bopmappy on instagram, also known as Mappy in real life. They're the ones who develop street trends and the fashions that every Forever 21-esqe store is now expanding and claiming as their own.

Fringe is making a comeback! This popular 60-70's accessory is coming back on the streets, and it's gonna be big, fringe bags, fringe jackets, fringe shoes. Just like this JJ Winters Suede Fringe Bag, as favored by people like Vanessa Hudgens, the boho chic queen.

Overalls are a must-have girl power item this season. They're simple, and all in one, and you can pair them with a cute crop top or cut them into shorts. They also bring out the hipster in all of us. Even though they originally used to be worn by men, now it's really hard to find men's overalls that aren't totally disgusting. Take these Zara Europe overall shorts (also found on polyvore.com).

For some reason, monochromatic colors like red are making a splash --make no mistake, the ones who can pull these outfits off are no wallflowers. Red has always been incredibly fashionable, making the person wearing it look sexy, provocative, and like they can conquer the world.

This week our theme is New Year, New Me/Us.
This new year is a time for new trends, and new gorgeous styles. Here are some of our predictions for the New Year's styles.
Thanks to Vogue's Sneak Peek into the Spring Fashion Week 2015, it's easy to decipher what people will be wearing.
As far as I can predict, a lot of people will be wearing a lot of tucked in stuff. Not that that wasn't fashionable last year, it's just becoming a more prominent statement this year. For example, model Hanneli Mustaparta in this gorgeous "ETERNITY" sweater from Calvin Klein.

Our next style is loose and straight. We've been noticing that a lot of models like Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne have been wearing a lot of gorgeous dresses, like this Thom Brown Dress and Jacket, worn by Vogue's own Kelly Connor, matched with a Mark Cross bag and Karen Walker sunglasses.

THE 80'S ARE MAKING A COMEBACK!
In our next prediction, we can see that gorgeous geometric prints are coming back. Like stripes paired with a complex print. For example, here is Giovanna Battaglia in a Marco de Vincenzo skirt, an Eddie Borgo necklace, a Sara Battaglia Bag, Rochas Shoes and Kate Spade sunglasses.

#winter is our theme for this update!
We love so many things about winter, for example, sweaters! Hallee and I are both immense sweater fiends, and you know, we have to mention the amazing feeling that you get inside when you get a new sweater, and it's super cute and its gorgeous on you, and you have this feeling, like "oh my god, I have to wear this like asap". We wanted to share some of those sweaters with you!                             The Marled Raglan red sweater from GAP (which Sophie has and is currently loving)
A gorgeous cheetah print lettered OBEY Propaganda Sweater (pretty sure you can find this at zumiez.com)
I know it's not a sweater but this is from an up and coming brand called Mad Mogul and I (Sophie) is/am freaking in love with this baseball tee! Get it here:

Look at this gem of Rob Pattinson reppin' his Christmas spirit:
Something I can't believe exists, let alone Matt Damon wore it:
Before this turns into "Shaming your favorite celebrities' worst fashion choices" let's get back on track.
Tune into our main page for an edition of: Celebrity Fashion Shaming: Christmas Sweaters!

Today we are here to talk about one fine subject:
Beanies
There are many great things about the art of the beanie:
boys look great in them:
such as Liam Payne and Harry Styles, and so that I don't hurt myself while swooning over them, I'd like to kindly tell you to go look up pictures on tumblr instead of having me do it.
girls look great in them:
recently Model and Actress (Margo Roth Spiegelman in Paper Towns) Cara Delvinge released a line with DKNY which includes a collection of really cute beanies.
There are actually a lot of ways to pull of beanies, but there are some styles that are just huge no-nos.
DO'S:
Do wear your beanie with your hair down. Yes, it's okay to do it with dirty hair, that's the whole point of the beanies!
Do wear your beanie with glasses. Real glasses or not, maybe even sunglasses, all glasses look great. I actually wore fake glasses for a while. While I don't recommend wearing them for a long time, they sure do look cute!
Do wear your beanie with a side braid if it's windy outside or you just don't feel like brushing your hair out.
Do wear your beanie with low buns, not the ballerina type buns but the kind of slouchy, lazy buns.

DONT'S
Don't wear your beanie with your hair up, or else it makes you look bald.

... that's actually all I can think of, so that's all for today!
